Description: Vintage Acoma Pueblo Seedpot from the 1960's-1970's. Created by Sarah Garcia (1928-2015) who along with her contemporary artists Lucy Lewis, Marie Chino, and Jessie Garcia helped revive the black-on-white Mimbres style pottery at Acoma. This piece has a nice swirling star design with very fine line work. It is approximately 3" high and 4+inches in diameter. Unfortunately there is some minor pitting due to imperfections in the clay, not damage from handling. This is often found on mid-century Acoma pots. The largest pit is clearly visible in the first photo and mars the design. It is still an attractively executed design, and is offered at a low price reflecting the condition.
