Description: This vintage African hand-carved wood fertility statue depicts a mother and child with intricate braided hair detail. The statue is a beautiful representation of African culture and was handmade with care. The statue's provenance is from my grandmother's (1902-2000) world travels, and it was hand-carved in one of the African Countries my grandmother traveled to. The statue has not been modified in any way and is a unique collectible piece. This came from my mother's estate in Chevy Chase, MD. This particular item was from my grandmother's travels. She collected wonderful antiques and vintages pieces throughout her life. She had an assortment of red depression glass objects, Crystal pieces and various items from her extensive travels around the world and time living in London so look for more in my shop in the coming weeks. All items listed in this store are preowned and will have some signs of wear. Please review each picture carefully. I am trying to go through all my mom's treasures and cannot accept returns.
