Description: This is my next attempt at a unusual, old and historical item from Rail I brought back from Montana. These are for the person that would like something a little bit bigger and they definitely stand out more. And I just recently started adding small vials of Gold/Silver flakes to the orders for my way of saying thank you. Not work much, but kinda cool. Thanks.This Keychain is made from 12 pound rail used in the Gold and Silver Mines in Montana( Rail weight is measured by the yard, 1 yard or three feet of this is 12 pounds) and was actually used during the early 1900’s. I handmade these from a piece of Rail that was manufactured in Illinois in 1937 for the Gold and Silver Mines in Montana and throughout America. I cut, cleaned it up and made them into these awesome Keychains. One of the last things I do is insert one of the thickest Jump Rings I can get through, almost 2 mm thick. After spending your hard earned money on one, I never wanted anyone losing it. They are around 1/4 inches thick and weight around 1 1/2 ounces. I cut these a little thinner than my smaller 3/8 inch thick, 8 pound Rail( those are on another listing-including a picture of both side by side). Again, MADE IN AMERICA 🇺🇸.
