This is breathtaking; it is unusually long, the number of beads is thrilling, and the color is simply stunning -- rich and glowing. The largest bead at the center is one inch long by 3/4 inch wide. It is one of the most intense cherry amber Bakelite necklaces I have ever encountered. The string is slightly stretched, so the beads are not tight, but it seems completely secure. And it has that original double-bead clasp with the hidden carved twist that is so emblematic of the best of these necklaces.
