Description: Set of Six (6) Demitasse Spoons manufactured and crafted by Barker Bros of England. Each spoon is stamped on back of spoon bowl on heel with the Barker Bros Shield stamp, the anchor identifying assay office of Birmingham, the lion identifying it as Sterling Silver and a capital letter D which I believe identifies the manufacture year as 1928. Spoons have a little tarnish but other than that each spoon is in like new condition with no scratches, dings, dents or breakages. The storage box has seen better days but has done a good job protecting the spoons. Lining on inside of case is stamped with the name of the original retailer "R. Salsbury & Sons Jewelers & Silversmiths London & Provinces". Each spoon measures approximately 3 3/4 in (9cm) length X 3/4in (2cm) bowl width. Each spoon weighs approximately 6 grams (almost 36 grams total weight for all 6). I acquired this set in an estate sale but am letting it go at a very low price hoping to find a buyer that can truly appreciate the classic beauty and craftsmanship. This is a beautiful set and a bit of history too as it is about to become 100 years old!
