Description: Very nice vintage hand made woven basket handbag produced by Barlow in Rhode Island. This lovely piece features a faux scrimshaw warf scene with a square rigged schooner. The leather hinges, side swivels, and front leather eye closure are all in excellent condition. The handbag is lined in blue calico which is in flawless condition. Signed on the base as shown. Barlow is no longer in business and these handbags are highly sought after.
