Description: This is NEW, unsold merchandise from a gift/glass shop that closed in the mid-90's. All remaining items were well packed and stored in climate control until now. These have never been sold to a retail customer and therefore, are NEW. Items offered now for sale are in NEW condition with no chips or cracks. Limited Edition: In the color above 938 were made in Jan 1981. This was color #7.Color description: Not described by R. Henry. It is either black glass or very dark amethyst - either way it is iridized as well. THE BIMBAH STORY: The Bimbah Elephant: The creator was Robert (Bob) Henry from Ft. Wayne, IN. His introduction sheet to dealers stated: “Bimbah is approximately 4 inches long by 4 inches high, solid glass on an oval base. It will be made in various colors, dated, and signed R.H. within the perimeter of a four-leaf clover. Each color will be made in limited quantities of less than 1000. There will be no reruns of any color. The mold will be retired from production upon the demise of the namesake.”Note: the actual size ended up being 5" length x 4.5+" height x 2.625" width at base. Only if my memory is correct all the Bimbahs produced were pressed for Robert Henry by Mosser Glass Co., Cambridge, Ohio. Also, I have a copy of a signed document stating that the mold, along with 8 various colored glass examples of the Bimbah Elephant, as well as 4 pieces of advertising of the Bimbah Elephant were gifted to the Allen County-Fort Wayne Historical Society on October 19, 1982. I photograph each Bimbah separately, except for clear and solid colors with no variation when I may use a previously photographed Bimbah; so when offering additional items of same color name the photograph is of the exact Bimbah you would be buying (this would pertain to slag, opalescent and certain solid colors where shading occurs). Please note that the mold lines on this item do not run exactly straight thru the middle but rather start in the middle at one end of the oval base but then run from the first leg to the second leg and so on exiting a bit off centerline at the other side of the oval base. EVERY Bimbah has the same mold lines which some people have taken to be hairline cracks but they are not. See photos. MULTIPLE ITEMS: If you happen to purchase more than one Bimbah at the same time just go through the normal checkout and I will refund the excess shipping charges after combining the orders into one shipping box. In many colors I have more than one (1) of each color. If you are looking for more than 1 in any given color pls msg me as I may have additional quantities available. Pictures provided are of the exact item that you will receive (except as stated above) so please review all photos and please ask any questions that you may have before making your purchase. Review all pictures as they are a part of the description. I do my very best to respond as quickly as possible. I ask that buyers contact me if there is any issue after receipt of your purchased item(s) before leaving any negative feedback. My goal is for you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. Thanks for looking and I am happy to answer any questions for you!
