Description: Since everything French is presently 'en vogue', here's an American-made layover pillow sham. Fabric is American cotton with all hand embroidery in turkey redwork from a kit from the 1920s. FYI: You just got out of bed and now your pillowcase is wrinkled. Heaven forbid anyone should see that mess! You are to lay this 'sham' (a sham is a cover-up) over the wrinkled case for the day then remove it at night. There's also such a thing as a sheet sham but I don't have one to match this one sham. Another FYI: 'Turkey red' does not come from the country of Turkey. The red dye is from dark, rich turkey egg yolks. Measures 28.5" x 26" which is euro square yet will fit your rectangle pillow. Clean, bright but does have one ever so teeny tiny hole since I held it up to the light. There's also some very light gray smudging. You'll still be pleased! MAILING is $5 from Maine.
