Pre-publication editions are those typically published for critics & editors to proof and review before the book was actually published. The book was published by Knopf. The dust jacket has not been price clipped and still shows the original retail price of $ 25.00 on the inside front flap. Please note: There are faint “spots” showing in the photos, at least on my computer; these are from my camera and they are not on the book or the dust jacket. Condition Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this book. It is in fine mint condition and could easily be sold as new. It is flawless as far as I can see. The book is not ex-library, not a book club edition, has not been price clipped or remainder marked. It is tightly bound, has no lean, no noticeable fading to the dust jacket and no offensive smell or odor. There are no tears or creases to any of the pages. The dust jacket has no tears or creases and in fact I do not see any obvious signs of even any minor shelf wear. There are no markings, writings, underlining or stains of any kind inside or outside the book. The dust jacket is protected in new Brodart clear polyester archival dust cover. It comes from a smoke & pet free home. Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is. Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos, it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece. It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo. Approximate Dimensions The book is about 9.5” (24.1 cm) tall by about 6.75” (16.8 cm) wide and is about 1.375” (3.5 cm) in total thickness. Approximate Weight About 1 pound 8.625 ounces (699 grams).
