Description: About 40 years old, this solid brass fireplace screen with a sculpture of a gargoyle or griffin on both sides opens like a peacock. The pierced screen has an "antique" patinated finish. It is missing one tab that links two of the fan blades together. Any handy person who can solder will find it an easy fix. See pictures. This heavy weight (14.5 pounds) hearth accessory measures 38" wide, 26.5” tall and 6” deep when fanned open, closed size is 9.5” wide. With the exception of the small repair, it’s in excellent condition. Notice the much more substantial brass base!
