Description: This is an excellent physical condition Buescher 400 Baritone Saxophone, serial number #474898. As the photos tell, this horn was played a lot in its life but never abused. There are no signs of any split damage to any of the brass and the body tube is arrow straight and intact. As it sits right now this instrument came to us from someone regularly gigging on this horn, it is playing up a storm on some older pads and we will go through the instrument top to bottom to insure it is playing great before shipping out. The dents to the bottom bow and the upper crook will also be smoothed out before shipping. This instrument features its original Buescher factor amber rollers and Buescher snap in resonators. These Buescher 400 baritones are my personal favorite for the under $5k price point. The low Bb gives them great response and resonance that is perfect for playing louder gigs and doubling. If you are an alto or tenor player looking to get your first Bari this is an excellent excellent option. The serial number dates this instrument to between 1965 and 1970 (saxophone.org did not have an exact year listed for this model). Please reach out with any questions.
