Description: Mid-60s Lyle three-pup Strat-ish model in superb clean condition throughout. This is the three pickup version of the two-pup Epiphone model with the Kurt Cobain cachet. Actually, a cooler guitar. A very interesting and effective take on the Strat. These pups are crisp, open, and responsive. Actually, IMO, a little more responsive than Strat pups, but not quite as tight and focused when you really lay into them. Mustang-style tremolo works great. Interesting circuitry. The slider switch shifts the blade from selecting the pups individually, to selecting the cool phased in-between positions in the “neck” and “middle” positions. The pickup selector blade switch can be a little finicky at the ends (bridge or neck pup), but always engages with a quick wiggle and never cuts out. Its’ original, and ultimately reliable enough, so I’ve left it alone. Very nice player. Padded gig bag. NOTE: USA regulations under the CITES convention (trade in endangered species) have finally been loosened to allow easy international shipping of vintage instruments, unless they contain BRAZILIAN r******d (Dahlbergia nigra). Unfortunately, I am not certain of the origin of the RW fretboard, so this guitar still cannot be shipped internationally without a lengthy and costly permitting process.UPDATE: Ebay now demands that we sellers give THIRTY DAYS for returns. Any honest buyer will know within a few days whether there is any need for a return. I no longer take returns through Ebay, but I will never "stick" another musician with a guitar. Please contact me if there any problems, and we'll work it out.
