If you use these, you know how they work. I am familiar with watercolor and acrylic brushes, and I believe that occurs with them, as well. At least one has a crack, probably due to age. Others may follow suit. Sold as is for that reason. I don't think that prevents anyone from using these. The red insert has popped loose on one side. I don't see how that matters, though. The other side will do the same. Photos tell the story.
