Description: This is a vintage group of 4 Christmas Ornaments featuring Santa Claus' head. These are hand painted by small artist based on style and signatures. But the sculpt work on the heads is really quite good and these could easily be repainted by someone with more skill or by other children for a fun art project. You could paint them white or black to restart (hint: When painting ceramics painting the bisque black and then adding color on top adds a great deal of warmth and shadowing to your work. Many moons ago I did a very large nativity set for my mother which I inherited back upon her death - but it was all done with this technique and it really came out so well. Fun fact: back in the 70's my "aunt" (mom's friend) had a ceramic studio and learned to paint ceramics in 3rd grade) It is a fun activity for grown ups or kids. Or should you love the little kid look of them, you needn't paint them at all. I love little kid art. I actually know someone who collects bad art and has done several rooms in her house with crazy and occasionally terrible art pieces. Why? Because the evoke conversation. LOL.
