Description: Vintage Clear Glass Ceiling Mount Light Shade Globe ART DECO Small Heavy Ribbed This is a unique glass ceiling mount light shade. It measures approximately 3.25" in height, (3.75" including the finial) and 4" in diameter at its widest. The glass is very heavy / think, so the opening in the center is only 3 1/8". It is heavily ribbed, resembling waves. This creates a look from the bottom that appears like bubbles or even flower petals surrounding the center medallion w/ finial. I do not know when it was produced, but it has a very Art Deco look, so I would guess from the 1920s to the 1940s. Given its small size, I would guess that this fixture would have been used in a small entry area, a small bathroom or perhaps over a kitchen sink. This is the perfect little fixture for that space that needs a smaller light, like the Foyer of a 1940s bungalow or even in your walk-in closet or pantry. It is in very nice condition and does not appear to have any damage. The finial appears to be brass and could use a polish, or you could replace the hardware all together with something more modern.
