Demiryolu Turkish Railway Open Face Pocket Watch Case # 5427 in Good Operating Correct Time Keeping Condition. I wound the watch & it kept accurate time for close to 12 hours.The case approximately 2 Inches in diameter has an attractive Steam Engine Locomotive Railway Train with a Cresent Moon & a 5-Pointed Star as well as well as the Turkish Railways Logo just at the base. The backside of the decorative case lid has a machined finish or Swirl Pattern & a case # 5427. The watch mechanism has a dust cover of its own with CORTEBERT followed up with 5 small coin pictures 15 Rubies Precision Made etc. Once the dust cover is open it also has a machined finish with a Swirl Pattern. The front open face appears to have a plastic lens & not made of glass which in my opinion is a much safer & more sensible when monitoring the time schedule constantly. The white face shows a sky blue, baby blue under the white base color that has surrounded the white face in the center area almost like a watercolor. This may be from leaving the watch in direct sunlight for extended periods of time or simply a manufacturing process issue due to its age ?? there is no visible residue which can be seen or found inside the watch.None of the numbers, emblems or writings have faded or been damaged & are all quite legible. The Minute & Second Hands are a Brass/Gold metal. Overall a very attractive precision Swiss made time piece used for Middle East travel from a time period long ago. This would be an Excellent choice for a Pocket Watch Collector or Steam Locomotive enthusiast.
