Description: This is a very nice vintage embossed Vaughan & Bushnell hatchet with most of the original label still on the handle. The hatchet is 6 3/8" across and cutting edge is 3 1/8". There are a few nicks on the cutting edge nothing bad. The nail head end is round and 1 1/8". On one side of the hatchet is a square box with with the round V&B logo Vaughan & Bushnell Mfg. Co. Chicago, Ill. The handle is 13" long and original with the label still on it. The label has wording on it about the wedge. Then on the end of the handle is a number looks like it is 161.
