Description: This is a vintage ethnic folk handmade hat or headpiece. Feels like cotton and it’s covered with gorgeous embroidery, beading, rickrack and metallic accents. Lined in a colorful textile. I’m not sure of its date or origin but looks Middle Eastern or North African to me—possibly Muslim? Could be worn by any gender as traditional folk wear or styled with contemporary clothes or studied by a textile collector. It’s round and about 6” in diameter across the top and 2” high from bottom to crown.
