The condition of the magazines will be expressed in photos along with my simplified descriptions (Gd, Vg, Vg/Ex, and Ex). Please examine my photos and make your own evaluation of their worth to you. Each magazine will have 3 photos including the front cover, back cover, and the Table of Contents, to give you as complete a feel for the item as possible. They will be shipped in crystal clear Mylar bags, inside an extra rigid white fiberboard mailer, as quickly as I make the sales. The cover on this particular February 28, 1959 Philadelphia Region issue features Richard Boone as "Paladin", the star of "Have Gun, Will Travel", a Western television series written for adults that was produced and originally broadcast by CBS on both television and radio from 1957 through 1963. The television version of the series stared Richard Boone was rated number three or number four in the Nielsen ratings every year of its first four seasons. Set in the period of the Old West after the Civil War, the series follows the adventures of "Paladin", played by Boone, a gentleman investigator/gunfighter who travels around the West working as a gunfighter for hire. Although Paladin charges steep fees to clients who can afford to hire him, typically $1,000 per job, he provides his services for free to poor people who need his help. This magazine, almost 70 years old, is still in Gd/Vg condition with all pages intact and no markings inside.
