Description: Here we have a beautiful hand made, carved wood Northern Pike. Circa 1960's, (?). With a carved monogram "R K" below. Sporting metal fins, painted tack eyes and mouth, carved mouth and gills. Painted a lighter green along its sides and over its back, the belly is painted creamy white. An abstracted Northern mottling of cream dashes are rhythmically applied along the sides. 16 3/4" long. The Fish is in good condition, with signs of use or wear, and a patina appropriate to its fine old age. There are a few worn areas on the tips of the metal fins where the light blue undercoat is revealed. All original. A Beauty. A piece of Art History out of The North Woods.
