Description: Up for sale is a veteran grave marker from the Civil War. Similar to the standard GAR marker, but it has a VETERAN instead of GAR. No major marks, cracks, or breaks in overall marker. The TOP rod & flag hole and bracket is intact. The BOTTOM rod & flag hole is broken off. A rare find; you don’t see too many of these specific markers anymore. Rod not included, but they’re available new online or in a store and can be easily threaded to fit with a tap and die set if need be. For clarity: no, I did not take this from a cemetery. It was purchased from a previous collector / salvager. I actually take grave markers back to cemeteries for those who are missing their markers due to time or theft. This one in particular doesn't match any of the GAR markers in the area, so I figured offering it on the internet would be a better option.
