Better 'n Some mail-order record store in 1993, I fell in love with Grass Records and tried to promote the label's releases however I could. This shirt is something that label owner Camille sent me in appreciation of my appreciation. Based on my recollection and the roster of bands on the shirt, I think I can say with near certainty that this shirt was made in 1994. This is a true, vintage shirt and not a modern off-shore reproduction. It has been worn a lot and laundered a lot in the many years that it has been mine, but I think it still has some good life left in it. This shirt is size XL. I think it is still pretty close to being true to size. I currently wear XL (at 5' 11", 235 pounds) but am not all that far from being better off in XXL. I can wear this shirt but it is a little snug on me. When I was 50 pounds lighter and wore size L t-shirts this one fit really well. I'm telling you this because I am selling this shirt as is. I'm trying to describe everything about the shirt as accurately as possible. Please use the information wisely and understand that I can't take it back if it doesn't fit the way you like. The shirt is being offered as a piece of Grass Records (and Kiss) music memorabilia. The measurement from pit to pit is approximately 22 inches. From back collar to hem is approximately 30 3/4 inches (long). Please see the photos with the yardstick so you can see where I got those numbers. This single-stitch (sleeves, hem) shirt is heather gray, but with extensive fading it has gotten quite light in color. There are graphics on both sides. The front sports a handsome Grass Records Logo. The back is just plain fantastic with its roster of 15 class acts from the Grass Records label and the lovely Grass Man as Kiss Parody. Very tasteful if you ask me. Along with the fading of the shirt, the graphics have also faded and show a little wear. The collage of Kiss-dude images for the main photo here was provided as an attention getter with straight-up unadulterated shirt images following. Please study the images carefully as they are as much a part of this shirt's description as any words are. The tag still reads well and shows this shirt's art was printed on a Fruit of the Loom, Made in USA ,98% cotton / 2% Other Fibers, XL, preshrunk shirt. I think if you wear Men's Large or XL, the fit will be ok. Maybe a little snug if you're extra large, maybe a little roomy if you're not too large. Pay attention to the length of the shirt. Of course you know, but I want to emphasize ... YOU SHOULDN'T TOTALLY RELY ON MY CONJECTURE ON SIZING. GET OUT YOUR YARDSTICK AND MEASURE A COUPLE OF SHIRTS YOU KNOW FIT WELL AND COMPARE TO THE MEASUREMENTS FOR THIS SHIRT. As far as wear goes, I almost was going to say I didn't notice any holes or stains, but in a second going over I did find one small hole on the back at about shoulder height. You can see it in the photo of the full back of shirt toward upper left. Please forgive me if I missed anything else, but that's all I could find to warn you about. The fabric is holding up rather well and isn't super thin yet. There is a little pilling, but it is minor and not a big distraction. You'll probably end up spotting something that I didn't specifically point out in words or photos. I'm not a perfect observer you know. Also, I live with a couple of dogs who are great pals. Let me assure you that this shirt has been laundered and is clean, but do not be surprised to find a few little dog hairs stuck to the shirt. There is no stopping them.
