Description: Vintage Hall China Two Tone Irish Coffee Mugs #1272 - Burgundy - Set of 2 Great Set of 2 Irish Coffee Mugs made by Hall China in the late 1960's in a Two Tone White/Burgundy Color. These have a nice pedestal bases in an attractive burgundy color that flows up to a beautiful clean and crisp white color with a wide open lip trim. Each has a wonderful art deco style handle and are on the heavy side. Each mug is marked with the Circle Hall logo on the bottom, Made in the USA and the style number 1272. This set doesn't have to be only for Irish Coffee, they can be used for regular coffee, Lattes, Teas, Hot Cocoa or whatever your favorite hot beverage is. Also would look beautiful on display in any retro or modern kitchen. Each mugs stands 5 3/4" h x 3" wide at the top rim. They are very good used condition free of any chips or cracks. There are some minor scratches on the base of the mugs, which is typical and normal for these mugs, but overall very clean and a great set to use as replacements for some mugs that have seen better days or dress up your coffee nook with these beauties. Hall China Company first began production in 1903 in East Liverpool, Ohio making utilitarian wares like jugs, bedpans, and mugs. Thanks to a single fire process developed by Robert Taggert Hall between 1903 and 1911, Hall China is durable, non-porous, and unlike other types of china, it doesn't craze. This is why so many pieces are still around in excellent condition to delight collectors today.
