Description: Vintage Hand Carved Wooden (Balsa or perhaps teak?) Mahogany and Tan color Horse Miniatures Set Of 15. 8 Tan, 7 Mahogany.These are purchased in the late 1980s by me. Lovely figurines with fine workmanship. 8 different poses and 2 different colors for 7 of those poses. Lacquered exterior with what I assume to be balsa or slightly more dense wood inside as they are very light weight. Other listings for similar figures indicate it may be teak inside, but I cannot confirm the material.Figures stand ~3" tall, rearing 3.5" tall, all are about 3" long. Comes in the original storage box pictured with white fabric cushioned lining and decorative print exterior. 10"x6"x5" box. Condition: Figurines are in very good general condition with the exception of the two mahogany colored figures that have legs broken cleanly off. The other 13 figurines have no visible flaws. The two horses with broken legs include the legs in individual baggies with the bodies. Leg breaks appear clean and should be possible to repair with glue for someone with the patience to do so. I chose not to attempt to glue them because I don't want to hide fact that the two are broken.
