Description: From a private collection. I am not a commercial seller. I am divesting myself of belongings so my heirs won’t have to. I am new at eBay selling, so if I have not provided enough information, please let me know through eBay. These Ukidama were found in the jungle off the beach of Iriomote Island by my sister Lynne in 2005. Iriomote Island is the largest of theYaeyama Islands of Japan, and the second largest in Okinawa Prefecture after Okinawa itself. This is according to my sister regarding her experience on Iriomote: The jungle off the beach felt ancient. There were many tombs that hadn’t been tended to in many years. The Japanese are known for ancestor worship and tending to the tombs of their ancestors, so I suspect, but don’t know for certain, that none of the families survived the war. I found these Ukidama in the jungle where they had, over the years, been washed up by the tide. Sold As-Is. The condition is as they were picked up in the forest of Iriomote Island. See photos for details. I have included a photo of my sister on Iriomote Island after she had picked them up from the forest. If you wish to buy more than one, contact me through eBay and I will create a listing for the number you want and adjust the shipping accordingly.
