Description: This is an vintage Japanese Taisho era c. 1920 hand carved wooden stamp known as an inkan. In Japan and China one does not sign, but rather stamp ones name with a chop or inkan like this one. This stamp is made of dense but lightweight boxwood and measures by 5/8" in diameter by 2 3/8" tall (1.7 x 6 cm). With exception of ink stains and minor signs of past use, it remains in very fine condition.
