Description: ORIGINAL JEAN HARDY (1880-????) 'SPYING ON THE LOVERS' SIGNED LIMITED EDITION COLOR ETCHING This is just a great original piece. I have had a few Jean Hardy works in the past. He was a similar artist to Louis Icart specializing in romantic views of woman either clothed or unclothed. Sort of a Boudoir Art style. This one seems particularly rare by Hardy as I am not able to find another example. A wonderful colored etching of a costumed man spying on a couple kissing in the woods. A wonderful original image measuring 14 3/4 x 18 inches. Image is in excellent condition with great original colors. Signed and numbered in an edition of 350 in pencil lower right below the image. Print has been trimmed and laid down on a cardboard backing. Matte over has left a matte burn to the inner edge of the image but because the matte covers it up it still displays very well.
