Description: Vintage 1950s Jerusalem Cross silver necklace by Friedrich Binder Mönsheim. The Friedrich Binder Mönsheim company was founded in 1910 and continues to produce high-quality chains today. The bracelet is made of 835 silver. It is 20" long and is stamped with 835 and the letters FBM for Friedrich Binder Mönsheim. The pendant looks to 925 silver with turquoise center stone. The Jerusalem cross (also known as "five-fold Cross", or "cross-and-crosslets") is a heraldic and Christian cross variant consisting of a large cross potent surrounded by four smaller Greek crosses, one in each quadrant. It was used as the emblem and coat of arms of the Kingdom of Jerusalem from the 1280s. The piece of jewelry is in very good vintage condition with natural patina.
