It was designed to work with the older Model "4"s, and newer K4-B, 4 quart tilt head stand mixers. It doesn't have the white vinyl coating over the hook which wears with use. It is built to last a lifetime. Hand wash only. If you have an older Model "4" or K4-B, 4 quart stand mixer made by Hobart and you need a genuine Hobart replacement dough hook, then this is the right listing for you.
