Description: Set of Two Vintage (1953-64) Krenit Bowls Robin's Egg Blue Enamel on Matte Black Steel Small Bowls - 3.5” diameter x 1.5" high Herbert Krenchel, a Danish materials scientist, had an obsession with finding the perfectly thin edge, which led him to design the KRENIT series in 1953, It is an icon of the Danish Modern style. The originals (of which these are 2) were produced until 1964. They were brought back into production in 2007. These bowls belonged to my late mother. We have family in Denmark, and she bought them there. Overall they are in very good condition - we mostly used them for nuts or olives. One has a couple of very tiny 'flea bites' at the rim - clearly visible in the pictures. Otherwise there are no dents, scratches, stains or chips.
