Description: For your consideration is this gorgeous vintage burgundy velvet evening maxi dress from Laura Ashley. Original owner. Wore once. Purchased in the UK. Non-smoking home. The gown has a modest v neckline, three quarter sleeved. Zipper in the back. It is lined with a matching burgundy satin polyester lining. The label states that the gown is a US size 14. I may fit more like a 10 or 12. Accurate body measurements must be taken to compare with its measurements. Shoulder to shoulder measures 15 inches. The bust measures roughly 38 inches (19” armpit to armpit). The waist measures ~32 inches. The sleeves are 17 inches long. The gown is 50 inches long from shoulder, and 34 inches from waist. As mentioned above, accurate body measurements must be taken prior to bidding, especially when buying vintage clothing. Despite obtaining measurements, I cannot guarantee a perfect fit. Vintage clothing tends to run small. It is always a good idea to allow a little extra room for comfort and ease in movement. Vintage items should not be expected to be perfect, as they are pre-owned and decades old. This gown is in nice condition. Ebay requires that our policies are clearly posted. My items sell as is.
