Description: Early 1960's lot of Barbie and Midge Clothing. Dian made most of this in the early 1960's when she was home raising children. I have divided by the dolls they were made for, so there will be additional lots for other dolls in the Barbie family. In this lot: Fairy costume, evening gowns, wedding gown with train, veil and bouquet, day dresses, coats, fur stole, pajamas, negligee-type sets, short sets, pant sets. Some of the whites have yellowed, and the netting gone limp. Minimal staining, but most could withstand a gently soak. Missing pearls on the pink looped-cloth dress. The last pic is three Barbie tagged dresses, plus some Midge? swim pieces and a bra. The pink dress has a strap detached in the back with a missing button. I think Dian's home-sewn pieces are nicer than the manufactured ones, plus, she is my mother after-all. From the estate and personal collection of Dian Zillner, author of numerous books on Dolls, Doll accessories, and Doll Houses. Many of the listed items have been used as illustrations in her books.
