Description: Vintage (probably 1950s or 60s) Mirro brand aluminum cake saver / carrier, consisting of a base and handled top, with smoothly working latch which locks and unlocks the top to the base. Original owner added Meyercal decals with graphics of copper kitchen items and fruit. Marked on bottom : Mirro The Finest Aluminum Made in USA 2002-M. Base diameter is about 11 1/4" in diameter, saver is about 8 1/2" high (including handle.) Will hold a cake measuring about 9 1/2" in diameter and about 4 1/2" tall. Condition: Nice condition, the sliding locking mechanism works smoothly, the decal do show some wear, there are some scattered scratches and marks but nothing that presents a problem if you actually want to use this rather than merely display it (Please review photos)
