The movement is marked: Alstater Watch Co, Swiss, Seventeen 17 Jewels. The case is 38mm wide x 42mm lug to lug. I've owned this watch about 20 years and about 10 years ago I had it serviced. It runs well. It has a screw-down crown. The watch is missing the dive bezel insert. While the watch states water resistant, I'd recommend having it tested before you actually use it in the water. A Nautoscaph watch was used in the Jaws movie and worn by Richard Dryfuss.
