Description: This knife was part of my husband's collection. I am not knowledgeable aboutknives, most of my info is from other listings, so do not mean to misrepresent.Did have an appraiser look at this knife, and he believed it was from the New YorkKnife Company and dated between 1900-1930. The marking is hard to read but doesclearly say "Walden - NY" This gently curved knife is attractive and easy to grip. Blade is sharp and strongly fixed.Believe the handle is ebony - so black. Blade, trim and butt cap are a pewter color. (I donot know the material used.) I have not tried to clean it. The knife appears to be in good shape...except:Blade is discolored. Wood is 'chewed' along tang near bottom and has crack by pin on side. (See pics. 7 & 8) Approx. measurements:Length when extended 7 1/2" LClosed 4 1/4"Blade 3 1/8" LButt cap 1"Weight 4 5/8 oz. Please email with any questions or concerns. I will try to answer or at least send more pictures. Thanks for looking!
