Description: Here is a vintage Mid-Century dove-tailed wooden file box from Merchants Box Company. No. 7520-285-3148. It is dated January 1965. Measures 10 X 9 X 6.5 Inches and hold 5" X 8 inch cards. I believe it is solid oak. Felt glued to bottom surface. The metal slide works correctly. Box hinges are straight and tight. Light wear and a few scratches to surface, edges and corners of box ~ no big scrapes or major chips. A single faint crack across the lid does not affect the integrity of the box. Included are hundreds of recipes, handwritten, typed and clipped, from the 1960s onward. Alphabet divider cards of heavy red card stock, plus some addition subject ["Cookies, Cakes, Muffins"] cards are also included. Some blank cards, and unfilled clipping & recipes included as well.
