George Ray Burtenshaw was a Surrey artist who originally trained under Tatton Winter. He exhibited at various times in Birmingham and Surrey. Age- 1940 Medium- Oil on panel Size- 15 by 20.5 inches approx including frame, panel 14 by 19.5 inches approx Condition- Generally decent, we would be happy to hang this as found. Some varnish browning in places, light craqueleur and a few dirty marks visible. Small paint chip lower left hand corner. Frame- Later wooden frame, some knocks, offered free with the painting. Signature- Lower right.
