Description: This is an expressive and visually striking Vintage Old West Cowboy Horse Bronco Portrait Oil Painting on Canvas, by the esteemed California Modern Dutch Master painter, William Verdult (1939 - 2016.) This artwork depicts a grizzled old cowboy riding a bucking Bronco. He holds a riding crop in his right hand and holds onto the reigns with his left hand. The cowboy has a long white beard, and stares outwardly with stern, determined eyes. This portrait is depicted against a tumultuous teal background, conveying a sense of wildness and mystery. Signed: "W. Verdult" in the lower right corner. This artwork likely dates to the 1960's. Approximately 31 1/8 x 41 1/4 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 29 1/2 x 40 inches. Good condition for age and storage, with moderate scuffing and edge wear to the original vintage period wood frame. This artwork is also slightly loose in the frame (please see photo 23.)
