Description: Offered for your consideration is a vintage Paper∙Mate Powerpoint Petite ballpoint pen, USA-manufactured c.1979. This neat pen features a cream-colored plastic barrel with golden starburst upper section accents and gold-plated trim. From what I’ve been able to gather, the Powerpoint Petite was only made for a brief time in the late 1970’s and I’ve not even been able to find any period advertisements for the model. Lacking a clip meant it was designed with ladies in mind, but even though named "Petite" it’s essentially a standard-length pen.So, please have a look at my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this fairly rare Paper∙Mate should join your collection. This Powerpoint Petite is in clean, excellent condition. It measures 5” long x ⅜” at center widest. There are no chips, cracks, or scratches, just some faint handling and usage marks from the years. Plus, the gold-tone plating has no wear-through or tarnish and still shines nicely. I think you’ll agree that this scarce Paper∙Mate presents very nicely. Most importantly, the twist-actuated mechanism at top extends and retracts the point without fail. Plus, the large-capacity, older-style Paper∙Mate Powerpoint pressurized refill in blue is original to the pen and still writing! But, since we don’t know how long it will write, I’m including a period old stock refill in black, as pictured, for the new owner’s convenience (and savings).
