Description: This is a Vintage Race Relations Novel in hardcover by collectable Black Author J Saunders Redding. Titled “Stranger And Alone” and published by Harcourt, Brace and Company in 1950, it is a 1st Edition. I custom made a dust jacket for this book because it didn’t have it’s original jacket. The image is from the vintage paperback edition of the same book published by Popular Library. I love the Popular Library cover image and the original book cover was not illustrated. I believe this was a very special book to someone as they have made extensive notes about it on the inside first two pages, as well as taped a newspaper review of the book on the inside back cover and tucked his photograph inside as well! Interestingly, there is the authors photograph and bio from the dust jacket also taped inside the front cover. Someone admired Mr. Redding and cherished this book! No other writing appears in the book other than the first two pages and the books is in relatively good condition with the exception of the taped portions, some dog ears, page tanning, especially where the newspaper photograph was tucked into and general wear from age and use. Please see photos for the best idea of condition. I think the additions continue to make this a very special book! Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
