Description: Vintage Howard Pierce large quail sculpture. - Very rare large quail made from hydrocal - Pierce is known for his porcelain ceramic items but also experimented with concrete, plaster etc. - Hand signed and dated by Pierce on side and base - Overall very good condition. The top notch has some fine cracks around the base. Weakness/damage to this part of this piece is common, with many having the top completely broken off.
