Description: Vintage Howard Pierce proud hawk on a log figurine. - Rare proud hawk figurine in grey, white and brown tones. A mixture of textured and gloss glazes. - Howard Pierce is renowned in the history of Californian art pottery. His designs are known for their beautiful mid century modern style and superb quality, and are highly sought after by collectors. He established Howard Pierce Ceramics in the 1930s and continued producing until his death in 1994. - Marked with 'Howard Pierce' stamp on base. - Excellent condition. There is a tiny patch on the back that feels rough to the touch. It seems to have occurred during production, perhaps where the glaze missed, not damage. No other issues noted.
