Description: VINTAGE SAKAI SEISAKUSHO BATTERY OPERATED TOY METAL RACE BOAT - RUNS NICE - This vintage toy boat dates to the 1950's and features an inboard electric motor and a sleek design- This all-metal toy boart is made of tin and looks sharp with its blue and red paint and chrome finish- The included box came with the boat and I was told it is original to this boat, but the boat shown on the box looks a bit different from the toy inside- The box would indicate that this boat was made by Sakai of Japan, but there are no markings on the boat itself to confirm this- This is a very rare toy boat and I have been unable to find the same model anywhere online- It appears to be complete with no missing parts except for possibly a flag that may have protruded from the bow- Condition is excellent with only some paint chipping to the rudder and propeller - The paint is otherwise excellent- The boat runs on 2 D batteries (Not Included)- The boat runs well in forward and reverse- Measures about 13-1/2" long Vintage battery powered boats from the 50's and 60's like this make excellent collectors items and display pieces. This is one of the more unique offerings from my personal collection and it is a very rare and sleek racing style boat. It has a great streamlined design.
