Vintage Salter Trade Spring Scale; no 85T; 1120 lb. max. 18 in. dia. Copper Face

Description: This is a very old Salter no. 85T "Trade Spring Balance" (scale). It has a capacity that runs from 4 lbs minimum to 1120 lbs maximum. Quite a range! I briefly tested it, and it seems to be roughly accurate. ^ The face is either copper or brass and would be BEAUTIFUL cleaned and polished. The weight numbers, brand, range, and ect. are stamped into the face. Also there is a neat Salter logo stamped in as well. ^ The scale face is a full 18 in. Diameter. The metal eyes that hold the scale and hold the weight are strong thick metal. ^ There is a coat of oxidation over the scale face. The weight indicator needle is bent a little (see pic), but I did not want to fool with it much. ^ This is a very heavy, (25 lbs) but very rare and special vintage scale.
