Description: At first glance this appears to be just another Sheaffer's Imperial Cartridge pen but a closer look revels a real find! This is a Vintage and highly collectable SHEAFFER'S LIFETIME 2000 FOUNTAIN PEN. In 1963 to mark Sheaffer's 50th anniversary they produced a range of LIFETIME PREMIUM CARTRIDGE PENS, with different price points up to a the 3500 model that has a full 14K cap and barrel. This one has the solid 14K solid gold cap band, often known has a '"SIGNATURE" where the jeweler could engrave the name or initials of the pens' owner. The Fountain pen has a BLACK cap and barrel and was ONLY PRODUCED IN BLACK. The pen is approx 5 3/8" in length. The pen has a SHEFFER 14k GOLD INLAID NIB. The FINE nib in in very good condition with no damage and with both Iridium's intact. The pen cap and barrel shows no damage with only light wear. The pen is a CARTRIDGE FILLER and comes without an ink cartridge. The cap band is 14K solid gold, but the clip is gold fill. These premium models were only produced for a few years. The cap band does have the initials "FHM" engraved on the band. Shipping for all my items includes handling and shipping in a rigid box for extra protection.
