Description: Sheer black vintage gown from the early 1950’s in gorgeous black silk with intricate horizontal pleats and across the upper bodice and the short sleeves. The lower silk skirt section flares out beautifully for dancing! Hook and snap side closures This was custom made for my mother in law so I’m guessing late 40s or more probably early 1950s. This was obviously worn over a black full length slip, but we haven’t located that yet! This is in fabulous condition with the exception of a small 2 mm hole on the upper left shoulder - please see last pix - which should be an easy repair. MIL was quite petite and this dress is quite small - please see approximate measurements: Waist: 12” Hips: 17” Underarm to underarm: 15” Shoulder to shoulder: 16” Overall length: 55”
