Description: This was found among items in my Dad's estate. After looking up the years of manufacture I believe it belonged to my grandfather who was an engineer machinist in Chicago. Production ended on this item in 1942 when Dad was away in the army. It's a nice piece, but it has darkened with age making some of it difficult to read. I had to search, but STANLEY No. 62 was found without too much trouble. After much lighting and magnification I also made out New Britain, Conn. Right behind that was "Boxwood" Please note that I had to use a pretty high degree of illumination to make it stand out in pictures. In a dark room, some of it would be harder to read.I'm not touching the patina. Someone more knowledgeable than I can take that chance. I appreciate that your took the time to look at this folding ruler.
