Description: Hello and Welcome to the Textile Trunk!A gorgeous unused length of toile fabric, dating to circa 1930 or perhaps a bit earlier. This fabric is a scaled-up reproduction of an 18th century textile that was designed by Jean Baptiste Huet! This fabric is a medium weight linen cotton blend, ideal for upholstery, pillows and other projects! The toile pattern is in a tone that is difficult to describe but I would say that it looks like a madder purple or madder brown tone. It just skirts the like between purple, brown and dark red! The ground tone is a warm natural linen tone! On the selvages the inscription reads " 'Le Mariage de Figaro' no 2009 Marque Deposee Bon Teint". This fabric was designed to depict scenes and elements from the Opera, the Marriage of Figaro. There is also a little tag, perhaps from the original seller of this textile, affixed to the center of the first yard. You can see this tag in the photos. ~*~ Ideal for use in many projects or any private collection! It would be very remarkable to find the original fabric this vintage textile was reproduced from! ~ *~ ( 830 ) MEASUREMENTS : I am selling this piece by the repeat, so each purchase will be for a segment that measures about 38.5 inches long by 32 inches wide. If you would like a longer piece, simply increase the quantity, and the length will increase with each quantity purchased by 38.5 inches. For example, should you purchase a quantity of 3, you will receive one long piece measuring about 115.5 inches long by 32 inches wide~ Condition : This wonderful fabric is unwashed and unused! The very side edges of the selvages, especially on the right side, are a bit dirty from storage. Otherwise there may be some tiny marks here and there, but overall this is in stunning condition!
