Description: Up for your consideration this Vintage Vishnu (Hindu God) Figurine. Compare with other Vishnu portraitS this particular one look very traditional. it's made out of copper alloy, possibly panchaloha. Figurine stands 5" tall on 1" X 1" base. Condition is very good, no chips, cracks or missing body parts. Vishnu, also known as Narayana and Hari, is one of the principal deities of Hinduism. He is the supreme being who creates, protects, and transforms the universe. In the Shaktism tradition, the Goddess, or Adi Shakti, is described as the supreme Para Brahman, yet Vishnu is revered along with Shiva and Brahma. Tridevi is stated to be the energy and creative power (Shakti) of each, with Lakshmi being the equal complementary partner of Vishnu. He is one of the five equivalent deities in Panchayatana puja of the Smarta tradition of Hinduism. Panchaloha (Sanskrit: पञ्चलोह), also called Pañcadhātu (Sanskrit: पञ्चधातु, lit. 'five metals'), is a term for traditional five-metal alloys of sacred significance, used for making Hindu temple murti and jewelry. Panchaloha is traditionally described as an alloy of Gold, Silver, Copper, Zinc, and Iron. It is believed that wearing jewelry made of such an alloy brings balance in life, self-confidence, good health, fortune, prosperity, and peace of mind. I found no significant condition issues with the figurine, but signs of previous use and ownership should be expected consistent with its vintage timeline and should be taken into consideration with age and ownership. Please note: I will accept any reasonable offer. Please check out all of the pictures and thank you for watching.
