Description: Here is a Patented Wahl Eversharp Sterling Silver mechanical pencil, likely from the first half of the 20th Century. It features a smooth silver finish, a pocket clip and a decorative finial. The body of the piece is in good vintage condition, showing minor signs of age and use, including 3 tiny surface dents and light surface scratching. There is no lead in the pencil at the moment, but the patented mechanism to twist the lead up seems to work. The problem is that the top part of the pencil does not want to screw into the body all the way. I do not know if this would impede the pencil's function or whether it is merely an aesthetic concern. Someone who knows this brand of mechanical pencils better than I will know how to address this issue. (I have taken this into account in my pricing of the item). I have rescued the pencil from a neglected state and am hopeful that someone will have the know how and desire to restore the pencil to its best potential.
